Hi, Thank you for stopping by! My name is Manami, born and raised in Hiroshima, Japan. I currently reside in Roseburg Oregon.

My passion for healthy, homemade Japanese food comes from a love for sharing comforting, flavorful meals —made with fresh, local ingredients— with others in this area.

“Kuma” means bear in Japanese, and it was my childhood nickname. Now, by living in the mountains and embracing powerlifting, I feel like I’ve truly become one! The strength and dedication I possess inspires the way I cook—bringing the warmth of Japanese home cooking to my handcrafted bento boxes and small-scale catering.

With over 10 years of experience working in Japanese restaurants in both New York and Japan, and as a certified nutrition coach and trainer, I bring strength, heart, and cultural roots into every dish I create.
